Blue Ridge Bank Gives Back
Blue Ridge Bank gives back to the communities we serve. Our vision is "To be the Community Bank that truly serves". We do this in many ways through volunteerism, financial contributions, and serving on boards and executive committees for many organizations.
Associates Charity Fund
The employees of Blue Ridge Bank have established an Associates Charity Fund that is supported by various fundraising efforts throughout the year. The Fund is managed by a committee of Blue Ridge Bank employees who decide on the fundraising activities and determine what agencies or persons will benefit from the dollars raised.
Some of the fundraising activities included paying $5 to wear jeans for a day. They also organize a holiday raffle that includes themed baskets created by branch and department staff.
We're Committed to Kids
Annually, we put on a Christmas party, with special appearances by Santa and Otter B Saving, for all kids who have a My First Million savings account. This account offers incentives to kids and encourages good savings habits.
Blue Ridge Bank supports all of the local high schools in the communities we serve by making annual contributions to their Project Grad programs.
We help with One Good Meal
Once a week, bank volunteers assist with the One Good Meal program in Lee's Summit. It is a food delivery program for elderly and disabled residents.
Blue Ridge Bank supports United Way
Blue Ridge Bank supports United Way in several ways - financial, educational and through associate volunteers.
The bank holds an annual United Way campaign drive partnering with a United Way representative and guest speakers from various agencies.
